A special concert organized on the occasion of Teresa Żylis-Gara’s birthday will be held on January 30, 2016 at 7.00 pm in the Radziejowice Palace.
Polish operatic soprano, whose career reached international fame from the 1950s through the 1990s, became known mostly for her performances in roles written by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Giacomo Puccini, and Giuseppe Verdi. She performed in several prestigious venues, including Covent Garden, La Scala, and Metropolitan Opera. For many years she has been active as a teacher and organizer of the vocal masterclass in Radziejowice.
The concert will be performed by the masterclass’ participants and a special guest – pianist Janusz Olejniczak.
