Leopoldinum Orchestra and Agata Zubel will perform on March 12, 2016 under the direction of Ernst Kovacic in Dessau during the 24th Kurt Weill Festival.
Apart from solo and chamber concerts, Ernst Kovacic - the Festival's artistst-in-residence - programmed the performance of Leopoldinum Orchestra with Agata Zubel. The artists will present the following programme:
Ernst Křenek - Symphonic Elegy, Op. 105 and Die Nachtigall, Op.68 for soprano, strings and 2 flutes
Kurt Weill - You Understand Me So (Love Life), Lost in the Stars, One Life to Live from musical Lady in the Dark (arr. for soprano and strings by E. Kovacic), Two Movements for String Quartet (arr. for string orchestra)
Mieczysław Karłowicz - Serenade for String Orchestra, Op. 2
