4th International EMANACJE Music Festival

Emanacje 4th International EMANACJE Music Festival will take place between July 3 and September 4, 2016. The Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre for Music, in cooperation with over 30 partners in the Lesser Poland province, offers a set of 40 concerts held in some of the most interesting places in the region.

While celebrating the notion of ‘emanating’ culture from the European Centre for Music in Lusławice, this year’s edition of the festival will for the first time cross the borders of Lesser Poland into the main square of Krosno. The events will also be held in the royal town of Biecz, the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Estate in Kąśna Dolna, Szczawnica, Tuchów, Royal Castle in Niepołomice, as well as castles in Wiśnicz, Szymbark, Sucha Beskidzka and many other venues.

The list of performing artists includes both world-class names and rising stars of the young generationn, such as the Youth Orchestra of the Americas, guitarist David Russell, cellist Gautier Capuçon, Scharoun Ensemble of the Berlin Philharmonic, OPUS Ensemble (South Korea), violinist So-Ock Kim, and Adam Bałdych with Helge Lien Trio. The Festival’s programme covers also piano and violin recitals by Ratimir Martinovic, Won-Sook Hur and Krzysztof Jakowicz, performances by Polish chamber musicians (Chopin Piano Quintet, Wiłkomirski Trio, Bojanowicz/Koziak Duo, Diverso Quartet, and the Surrealistic Five), as well as International Zbigniew Seifert Jazz Violin Competition (August 24-27).

Admission free (except for the final concert of the Seifert Competition).
