9th Festival of Polish Chamber Music

w 2016 edition of the Festival of Polish Chamber Music will be held in Warsaw between October 30 and December 11.

The Festival’s opening concert will be performed by trombonist Pedro Carrero (Orquesta Sinfonica de Simon Bolivar de Venezuela), cellist Anna Wróbel and Polish Radio Orchestra under the baton of Monika Wolińska, while the guests of subsequent events will be Łukasz Długosz (flute), Bogumiła Dziel-Wawrowska (soprano), Michał Dąbrowski (organ), Konstanty Andrzej Kulka (violin), Joanna Ławrynowicz (piano) and chamber ensemble Camerata Vistula.

The presented Polish chamber repertoire ranges from compositions by Mikołaj Gomółka to contemporary works, with special focus put on pieces by Zygmunt Noskowski whose 170th birth anniversary is being celebrated this year.

The project is organized by Camerata Vistula Foundation and co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the City of Warsaw.
