10th edition of the "Purchase of New and Waste Sounds - Sound Republic", which includes workshops and a concert performed by the Mud Cavaliers and the workshops participants, will be held between December 10 and 20, 2016 in Warsaw.
The project is organized by the Polish Society for Contemporary Music and meant to prepare its participants for performing a composition designed in a form similar to De Staat by Louis Andriessen. During 5 open workshops, the participants will work under the guidance of members of the Mud Cavaliers and learn to work collectively on the piece, engage in effective teamwork, and get acquainted with various aspects of contemporary music.
The project is co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, City of Warsaw and Society of Authors and Composers ZAiKS.
