On 25 March 2018 at 6 p.m. the Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio of Polish Radio will host a symphony concert of the "Filharmonia Dwójki" series, during which Three Fragments from Poems by Jan Kasprowicz Op. 5 by Karol Szymanowski will be performed.
"Filharmonia Dwójki" presents concerts from the most prestigious halls in Europe and the world, and broadcasts the most important events of Polish music festivals. On Sundays, time is reserved for concerts of the Polish Radio Orchestra.
During the concert 25 March, a renowned mezzo-soprano Anna Lubańska will perform along with the Polish Radio Orchestra under the direction of Michał Klauza. Wojciech Żołądkowicz will also appear on stage.
The programme will include Adagio for strings, Op. 11 by Samuel Barber, Sieben letzten Worte unseres Erlösers am Kreuze (Seven last words of our Savior on the cross) Hob XX: 1 by Joseph Haydn and Three fragments from the poems of Jan Kasprowicz, Op. 5 by Karol Szymanowski.
The concert at the Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio of Polish Radio will be held under the patronage of the Polish Music Publishing House as part of the TUTTI.pl project promoting the performance of Polish music.
