The 9th "Pieniny – Culture – Sacrum" Summer Festival will be held between July 21 – August 18, 2018 in Krościenko nad Dunajcem (located in the Pieniny region).
This year's edition of the Festival will include six diversified concerts of organ, chamber, vocal, choral and electronic music. The organisers invited artists from Germany, Italy, Russia and the USA to perform at the event. The festival will begin with a musical prologue in the All Saints' Church on 21th July at 4:00 p.m. The official inauguration will take place a day after, on 22nd July at 4:00 p.m. in the Christ the Good Shepherd Church. It will feature Freedom is in us poetic texts and prose, presented by great actor Adam Woronowicz, and intertwined with organ improvisations by Marek Stefański. The program of the Festival will also include Polish music by 20th century composers: Wacław Geiger, Juliusz Łuciuk, Tadeusz Szeligowski and Władysław Żeleński.
For tourists visiting Pieniny in the summer, concert evenings are an additional opportunity to rest and contemplate beautiful music in a unique scenery of Pieniny landscapes. Admission is free to all concerts.
