Lublin | 7th International Festival – „Andrzej Nikodemowicz – time and sound"

Henryk Wieniawski Musical Society invites to the 12th edition of the International Festival "Andrzej Nikodemowicz – time and sound", which will be held between September 22 and October 6, 2018 in Lublin.

The festival presents works of Andrzej Nikodemowicz, one of the greatest contemporary composers of sacred music, within the rich context of music of all time. The event promotes Polish and world cultural heritage, social education "towards art", spiritual formation and good traditions.

This year's edition will include: inaugural special piano recital by Mei Yi Foo, violin recital by Marta Magdalena Lelek, special piano recital by Marek Szlezer on the 75th anniversary of Krzysztof Meyer's birth, vocal and instrumental concert "Sacrum and profanum" in the Holy Family Church with the participation of the Lublin Philharmonic String Ensemble, the Philharmonic Choir and the "Lutnia Lubelska" Choir, two chamber concerts and the final concert performed by the Henryk Wieniawski Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Zygmunt Rychert. The concerts will feature works by Polish composer such as Krzysztof Meyer, Krzysztof Penderecki and Karol Szymanowski. The host of the festival events will be Teresa Księska-Falger.
