A presentation of the Polish Dance Theater entitled "Polka" will take place on 10 June 2019 at 7pm in the Podkarpacka Philharmonic in Rzeszów. The performance is co-organized by the Institute of Music and Dance as part of the Stage for Dance 2019 programme.
Polka is a play directed by Igor Gorzkowski, choreographed by Iwona Pasińska, with music by Zbigniew Kozub and set design by Andrzej Grabowski, which premiere took place as part of the Year of the Gods 2018 programme of the Polish Dance Theater. Its staging concept is based on playing with different meanings of the Polish word "Polka". The authors look at various shades of femininity and different life experiences of women – love, work, friendship, dreaminess, non-fulfillment and dreams.
