Culture Online – the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage programme launched

The Minister of Culture and National Heritage announced the foundations of the new support programme for artists, creators and institutions that, due to the ongoing epidemic, cannot carry out their artistic activity in its current form. "Culture Online" provide means to change the form of dissemination of creative activities or the presentation of its effects on electronic communication channels, primarily on the Internet. The programme budget is PLN 20 million. Applications can be submitted until 20 April 2020.

The "Culture Online" programme consists of two elements: the scholarship programme of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage and the grant programme managed by the National Centre for Culture.

The scholarship programme is addressed to individuals, creators and artists, including musicians. Submitted projects may take the form of dialogue with or reference to the tradition and achievements of Polish and world cultural heritage, as well as the search for innovative solutions, both in terms of forms of expression and means of communication.

Non-governmental organizations and cultural institutions can apply for the National Centre for Culture grant programme. The funding will be granted for, among others, implementation of online workshops, webinars, online cultural events, sharing records of cultural events, creating websites or applications popularizing digital resources, creating audio-video publications. National institutions, institutions run or co-run by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, schools and art colleges are excluded from this form of funding.
