The next episode of the "Nocturne" programme on 4 May 2020 at 11:00 p.m., hosted by Ewa Szczecińska on Dwójka - Polish Radio Channel 2, will be devoted to Polish contemporary vocal works.
Excellent Polish soprano Joanna Freszel will be the guest of the programme (by phone). We will listen to the works from her latest album, the Polish songbook, recorded with pianist Łukasz Chrzęszczyk. The selection will include copositions by Aleksander Kościów (Four Haikus) and Cezary Duchnowski (Wściekłość to the text by Elfride Jelinek in the Polish translation of Karolina Bikont).
In addition, the programme will feature Paweł Mykietyn's Ładnienie to the poem by Marcin Świetlicki performed by Jerzy Artysz, Agata Zubel's Cascando, which received a recommendation at the International Rostrum of Composers, and Paweł Szymański's 3 Songs to words by Trakl performed by Zubel, as well as songs of the daughter of Henryk Wieniawski, Irene Poldowski, performed by Barbara Kinga Majewska.
