Toruń | Musical Constellation

TOSVeriko Tchumburidze will perform with the Toruń Symphony Orchestra conducted by Agata Zając on 4 June 2021 at 7.00 p.m. at the CKK Jordanki Concert Hall. The "Musical constellation" concert will take place as part of the "Conductor-in-Residence" programme organised by the National Institute of Music and Dance.

Since winning the International Henryk Wieniawski Violin Competition in 2016, Veriko Tchumburidze has gained a reputation as a captivating soloist, chamber musician and studio artist. "She is like a breath of the future," said Andrzej Wituski, director of the competition, "She brings us closer to the world of our own imagination."

At the concert in Toruń, she will perform one of the most beautiful and popular, but also one of the most difficult concerts – Violin Concerto in D major, Op. 35 by Piotr Tchaikovsky. The concert will start with Zygmunt Noskowski's "The Eye of the Sea'"Overture, which is an excellent example of works related to the Tatra Mountains. We will also hear Felix Mendelssohn's Symphony No. 4 in A major, Op. 90, known as the "Italian". The orchestra will be led by Agata Zając, who is currently the conductor-in-recidence of the Toruń Symphony Orchesta.
