Elbląg | June Evening with Two Composers

EOK Sławomir Czarnecki and Sebastian Perłowski. Two names, hundreds of scores, thousands of concerts with their music. Another one will be held on 6 June 2021 at 6.00 p.m. at the State Music School Complex in Elbląg.

The first part will feature works by Sławomir Czarnecki, referring to, among others, highlanders folklore.  Czarnecki has never been an avant-gardist, especially recently, when he claims to be close to postmodern aesthetics, with works transparent in texture and clear in form. The composer calls it "analogism". His works are in the repertoire of such famous performers as the violinists Krzysztof and Jakub Jakowicz, the cellist Tomasz Strahl, the Amadeus Orchestra, the Concerto Avenna Orchestra, the Warsaw Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra and the Polish Chamber Choir Schola Cantorum Gedanensis. The second part of the concert will be filled with Sebastian Perłowski's music. As a conductor, he collaborated with many orchestras in Poland and abroad. He was the deputy artistic director of the Grand Theater in Poznań. Currently, he teaches composition at the Academy of Music in Katowice and conducts symphonic, operatic and jazz concerts as well as musicals.

The Elbląg Chamber Orchestra and the violinist Paula Preuss will present the achievements of these Polish composers. Sebastian Perłowski himself will stand at the conductor's desk.
