The Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre for Music in Lusławice invites you to the concerts of the ongoing "Emanacje" Music Festival on 10 and 11 July 2021 at 7.00 p.m. Adam Kałduński will start a series of Chopin recitals and the Kroke ensemble will present the most popular works from their repertoire.
Weekly meetings with Fryderyk Chopin's music will be an opportunity to hear promising artists almost on the eve of their participation in the famous and prestigious Chopin Piano Competition scheduled for autumn this year. Adam Kałduński will perform as the first in the series. The laureate of national and international competitions is the winner of the 2nd International Chopin Competition for Young Pianists in Beijing (2019) and the 2nd prize ex aequo at the 50th Polish National Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw (2020), thus qualifying for the 18th International Chopin Piano Competition. Currently, he is studying with Katarzyna Popowa-Zydroń at the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz.
Kroke (in Yiddish: Krakow) was formed in 1992 by three friends: Tomasz Kukurba, Jerzy Bawoł and Tomasz Lato. As graduates of the Academy of Music in Krakow, but also as open-minded artists, they did not shy away from experimenting with jazz and contemporary music. The ensemble, initially associated mainly with klezmer music, currently oscillates around various genres. The artists draw inspiration from ethnic music from all over the world, but always enrich their works with their own improvisations, which we will hear on 11 July.
