Lusławice | "Emanacje": Andrzej Wierciński's Chopin recital and Beethoven Academy Orchestra's symphonic concert

EmanacjeThe renowned pianist Andrzej Wierciński and the famous Beethoven Academy Orchestra will perform on 7 and 8 August 2021 at 7.00 p.m. at the Krzysztof Penderecki European Centre for Music Center in Lusławice as part of the "Emanacje" Festival.

EmanacjeChopin recitals, which are an integral part of this year's festival, are a foretaste of the great emotions that await music lovers during the 18th Chopin Competition. On 7 August we will hear Andrzej Wierciński – winner of the 1st prize at the Saint-Priest International Piano Competition (2019) and the Polish Chopin Competition in Warsaw (2015) as well as the 3rd prize at the Hong Kong International Piano Competition (2019). The artist is a laureate of the Franciszek Wybrańczyk Artistic Scholarship, the Sinfonia Varsovia Foundation, the Krystian Zimerman Artistic Scholarship and the Yamaha Artistic Scholarship.

On 8 August the Beethoven Academy Orchestra conducted by violinist Joanna Konarzewska will present works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Benjamin Britten and Krzysztof Penderecki, with whom the orchestra was particularly associated. We will hear Penderecki's Serenade for string orchestra. The composer repeatedly praised the high artistic level of the orchestra, saying: “I am touched by the commitment of the ensemble. It is not just a performance (...) there is something more to it ... ”.
