Warsaw | Extraordinary Concert at Warsaw Philharmonic: Bach and Kilar

FNThe Extraordinary Concert "Bach – Kilar" will be held on 31 October 2021 at 8.00 p.m. at the Warsaw Philharmonic. The works of these genius composers will be performed by the artists of the Philharmonic, as well as Krzysztof Jakowicz and Jakub Jakowicz. Master father and son at one concert is a "real treat" for music lovers!

The first part of the concert will feature Johann Sebastian Bach's most famous and popular violin works: Violin Concerto in A minor BWV 1041, Violin Concerto in E major BWV 1042 and Concerto for Two Violins in D minor BWV 1043. The soloists will be accompanied by the Chamber Orchestra of the Warsaw Philharmonic under the direction of Jan Lewtak.

In the second part, the artists invite listeners to the world of Wojciech Kilar's beautiful music performed by the Warsaw Philharmonic Chamber Orchestra and soloists: Maria Lewicka (flute), Piotr Lis (oboe), Grzegorz Wołczański (clarinet) and Danuta Kojro-Pawulska (harpsichord, piano). The artists will present music from the films From a Far Country, Pan Tadeusz, The Shadow Line, At Full Gallop, Chronicle of Amorous Accidents, The Pianist, The Połaniecki Family, The Leper, The Promised Land, and Jealousy and Medicine.

The concert will be hosted by well-known radio journalist Paweł Sztompke.
