Zakrzewo, Jastrowie, Krajenka | "Tell Me a Story" – Artistic Workshops for Children

PTMWFrom 4 to 6 November 2021 the organisers of the free improvisation workshops for children "Tell me a story" will work with the youngest and their parents in Greater Poland: the workshops will take place at the Polish House in Zakrzew, the Culture Centre in Jastrowie and Krajenka.

The workshops organised by the Polish Society for Contemporary Music are intended for children aged 3-5 and 6-8 years (together with their guardians). In addition to improvising and playing with books, children will learn various techniques of producing sound, which expose its colour and dynamic values, and will also have a chance to play percussion instruments on their own.

The workshop's musical guests will be famous artists: accordionist Iwo Jedynecki, double bass player Małgorzata Kołcz and composer Jarosław Siwiński. The adventure with improvisation will be led by the actor and director of plays for children, Grzegorz Ociepka. The main idea of the workshop is to combine improvisations inspired by graphics: first literary, then musical. The "Tell me a story" series is conducted by musicians of various specialties. Therefore, children learn about different sounds of contemporary music and different ways of improvising.

Participation in the workshops is free – the number of places is limited, so please register in advance and contact the partners of the project in Greater Poland.

The project was co-financed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund under the Accessible Culture Programme. Sponsored by the PZU Foundation.
