Media patronage: Polish Music Information Centre POLMIC
The jury of the 18th Kazimierz Serocki International Composition Competition that took place on October 13-15 announced the results. 85 scores were submitted to the Competition.
The jury was composed of: Paweł Łukaszewski (Poland), Paul Patterson (Great Britain), Dariusz Przybylski (Poland).
- The FIRST Prize in the amount of PLN 13,000 was awarded to Masato Kimura - a composer from Japan - for the piece ─ ~ minus ~ VII < Picture Book of Mist > for string quartet.
- The SECOND Prize in the amount of PLN 8,000 was awarded to Luca Vago - a composer from Italy - for the piece Encendiendo for piano quartet.
- The THIRD Prize in the amount of PLN 4,000 was awarded to Uri Brener - a composer from Israel - for the piece The Flow for piano trio.
The awards were funded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
