Laureaci 65. Konkursu Kompozytorów im. Tadeusza Bairda!

FZ 26 4 2426 kwietnia 2024 po raz pierwszy w Filharmonii Zielonogórskiej im. Tadeusza Bairda odbył się koncert finałowy 65. Konkursu Kompozytorów im. Tadeusza Bairda. Przyznano 3 nagrody i 1 wyróżnienie.

Jury w składzie: Grażyna Pstrokońska-Nawratil (przewodnicząca), Alicja Gronau, Rafał Kłoczko, Katarzyna Kwiecień-Długosz i Edward Sielicki, po wysłuchaniu utworów zakwalifikowanych do II etapu Konkursu, postanowiło podzielić Nagrodę Główną im. Tadeusza Bairda, a po otwarciu kopert ujawniło nazwiska laureatów.

I nagrodę zdobył Jakub Jung za utwór Muzyka gestów (godło METHONE), II nagrodę - Jakub Borodziuk za kompozycję Brzask (godło VOLEREEPOTERE), III nagrodę - Bartosz Jawor za utwór Folk Story (godło MKBEWE).

Wyróżnienie przyznano Magdalenie Bobowik, autorce kompozycji Ritorno (godło X205).

3rd Antoni Cofalik Violin and Viola Competition

Oskar Kolberg 1st degree Music School in Raciechowice announces the 3rd Antoni Cofalik Violin and Viola Competition, which will take place on June 13-15, 2024. The deadline for submitting applications is the 13th of May.

The competition is open to violinists and violists born after the 31st of December, 2007.

The compulsory programme of the Competition includes works by Polish composers, including miniatures by Antoni Cofalik from the collections W zoo, W cyrku and Ptaszarnia.

Prof. Antoni Cofalik will be the chairman of the jury.

All participants of the Competition will receive diplomas of participation. Prizes will be awarded to the winners. A special prize will be awarded for the best performed piece by Antoni Cofalik. The culmination of the Competition will be the Winners' Concert, which will take place in the Concert Hall in Raciechowice.

Konkurs Kompozytorski "Duet na altówkę i inny instrument bądź altówkę i taśmę / komputer"

Akademia muzyczna w Gdańsku - logotypPatronat medialny nad Konkursem objęło Polskie Centrum Informacji Muzycznej POLMIC.

Akademia Muzyczna im. Stanisława Moniuszki w Gdańsku zaprasza do udziału w Konkursie Kompozytorskim "Duet na altówkę i inny instrument bądź altówkę i taśmę / komputer". Konkurs przeznaczony jest dla studentów klas kompozycji polskich akademii muzycznych. Termin nadsyłania prac upływa 20 maja 2024 roku.

Przedmiotem Konkursu jest skomponowanie duetu na altówkę i inny instrument bądź altówkę i taśmę / komputer. Czas trwania kompozycji: od 4 do 8 minut (forma dowolna).

Każdy kompozytor może zgłosić dowolną liczbę prac. Utwory konkursowe należy zgłaszać anonimowo.

Zwycięska kompozycja zostanie prawykonana podczas XIII EURO Chamber Music Festival Gdansk 2024. Ponadto, JM Rektor ufundował nagrodę główną w wynosi 1500 zł brutto dla zwycięzcy konkursu.

The Silesian Philharmonic - Silesian Chamber Orchestra conducted by the director of the Silesian Philharmonic, Adam Wesołowski, will perform during a concert organized on the occasion of the opening of the exhibition at the Museum of the Upper Silesian Land in Ratingen on the 4th of May, 2024 at 7:00 p.m., dedicated to the silver mine in Tarnowskie Góry.

The Tarnowskie Góry silver mine, like the Zollverein mine and coking plant industrial complex, is on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The event also commemorates the 20th anniversary of Poland's accession to the European Union.

3rd Elżbieta Chojnacka Harpsichord Competition

The Artistic Education Center in Warsaw announces the 3rd Elżbieta Chojnacka Harpsichord Competition, which will take place at the Fryderyk Chopin Music School in Bytom on May 16-17, 2024. The competition is intended for students of primary and secondary music schools. The deadline for submitting applications is the 30th of April.

The originator of the competition is Dr. Aleksandra Gajecka-Antosiewicz - the heir of Elżbieta Chojnacka, a recognized Polish harpsichordist. The competition's programme formula presents harpsichord literature in two trends: old (the obligatory piece by J. S. Bach) and new. The primary goal of the project is to popularize the performance of harpsichord music of the 20th and 21st centuries, including works by Polish composers (mandatory repertoire), and instruments - historical and contemporary.

The competition will certainly awaken passion for performing new music. It will be accompanied by lectures and meetings between students and teachers.

The competition jury includes recognized Polish harpsichordists and composers.

Warsaw | 12th Witold Lutosławski International Cello Competition: inaugurating concert

The National Institute of Music and Dance invites you on the 30th of April, 2024 at 7.00 p.m. to a concert at the Warsaw Philharmonic, inaugurating the 12th Witold Lutosławski International Cello Competition.

The soloists will include: jury members and winners of previous editions of the Competition: Magdalena Bojanowicz, Adam Krzeszowiec, Tomasz Strahl and Marcin Zdunik. The artists will be accompanied by the Polish Radio Orchestra in Warsaw conducted by Michał Klauza.

Concert of the NFM Choir on the 28th of April at 6.00 p.m., conducted by the respected Slovenian conductor Martina Batič, will be an opportunity to celebrate the 200th anniversary of Anton Bruckner's birth in 2024 - his work Christus factus est will be performed, as well as sacred and secular music from various parts of Europe, written over three centuries by Johann Sebastian Bach, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Frank Martin, Ambrož Čopi and Karol Szymanowski.

Katowice | Jubilee Gala of Classical Music "Fryderyk 2024"

Fryderyk Gala 24The 30th Classical Music Gala as part of this year's Fryderyk Festival will take place on the 28th of April 2024 at the headquarters of the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice. The Fryderyk Award Ceremony will be accompanied by performances by outstanding Polish musicians. There will also be Polish music, an opera accent and dance rhythms. The soloists will be accompanied by the NOSPR under the direction of Łukasz Borowicz.

Marta Gidaszewska and Robert Łaguniak, who together form the internationally acclaimed Polish Violin Duo, will perform Two contrasts for a duo by Anna Rocławska-Musiałczyk, who last year received the ZAiKS Award for composer of the young generation at the Gala of Classical Music.

Szczecin Classic 2024The mysterious, intuitive and inspiring Festival will thrill Szczecin inhbitants for the fifth time, this time crossing the boundaries of the senses. West Pomerania's largest classical music festival SZCZECIN CLASSIC titled "6 Senses" will take place from the 27th of April to the 3rd of May 2024. Musicians will play on the strings of imagination during five unique concerts. In addition, accompanying events are planned as part of the "Maltówka" series.

Diverse ensembles, from duos to the great festival orchestra, a varied and surprising programme, full of great names: both composers and performers. World-famous artists, soloists and leaders of leading European orchestras will perform: Vasko Vassilev, Daniel Stabrawa, Jakub Jakowicz, Emanuel Salvador, Andriy Viytovych, Konstantin Heidrich, Piotr Szumieł, Janusz Widzyk. Young performers who will practice during the Szczecin Classic Academy master classes will also take part in the concerts.
