Warsaw | "Autumn Salon" Chamber Music Festival

Salon JesiennyThe "Autumn Salon" Chamber Music Festival will run from 6 November to 3 December 2020, featuring excellent artists: Jakub Jakowicz, Łukasz Długosz, Magdalena Bojanowicz, Alicja Bator and Dorota Lachowicz.

The festival is distinguished by freshness, variety, contrast, and a combination of romantic and contemporary music. As the organizer of the event, Piotr Szczerbań, points out, "The centuries-long development of compositional techniques was followed by the development of the musical instruments. However, nowadays we do not often have contact with their many interconnections. In our series, we want to introduce you to a selection of sometimes surprising combinations and sounds in forgotten or almost never performed compositions from different periods. In our concert proposals, this applies to both the selection of composers and their works, with particular emphasis on the featured musical instruments. We invited young artists, who are at the beginning of their career, as well as experienced performers with great achievements. Both of them are full of enthusiasm and artistic freshness".

The programme of the festival will feature, among others, compositions by Tadeusz Baird, Wojciech Łukaszewski, Joanna Wnuk-Nazarowa, Piotr Moss, Witold Lutosławski and Stanisław Skrowaczewski.

All concerts will be recorded and made available on the La Passione Foundation Facebook page and YouTube channel.

Co-financed under the "Music" programme operated by the Institute of Music and Dance.
