Media patronage: Polish Music Information Centre POLMIC

16^th edition of the Halina Czerny-Stefańska and Ludwik Stefański Piano Competition will take place between the 28th of November and the 1st of December, 2022 at the Karol Szymanowski State Primary and Secondary Music School in Płock.  

More than 70 participants from all over Poland will present their competition presentations, and their performances will be assessed by the jury composed of: prof. Elżbieta Stefańska (Kraków) - chairwoman, dr hab. Zofia Antes (Olsztyn), prof. Elżbieta Tarnawska (Warsaw), prof. Hubert Rutkowski (Hamburg), Tereyuki Okada (Japan).                                                               

Special evening dedicated to both Patrons of the Competition entitled 'In Memory of Halina Czerny-Stefańska and Ludwik Stefański', will take place on the 1st of December, 2022, at 18.00, in the concert hall of the Karol Szymanowski State Primary and Secondary Music School in Płock. During this musical meeting we will listen to the performances of prof. Elżbieta Stefanska and prof. Tereyuki Okada  and their memories of the 30-year history of the Competition in Płock. At that time, the official announcement of the competition results, the award ceremony and the Winners' Concert will also take place.

On the 27^th of November 27, 2022 at 18.00, a concert as part of the celebrations of the Year of Polish Romanticism will take place at the NOSPR premises. Works of Polish composers will be performed by the pianist Piotr Sałajczyk.

During the upcoming concert in his interpretation, we will hear the works of Fryderyk Chopin, Juliusz Zarębski and Władysław Żeleński.

Fundacja Gliwickiej Orkiestry Kameralnej oraz Centrum Kultury Victoria w Gliwicach zapraszają 27 listopada 2022 roku o godz. 18.00 do sali Scena Bajka – Kino Amok (ul. Dolnych Wałów 3 w Gliwicach) na koncert Gliwickiej Orkiestry Kameralnej z cyklu „Mistrzowskie interpretacje” z udziałem wybitnego Daniela Stabrawy.

Koncerty z cyklu „Mistrzowskie Interpretacje”, realizowane od 2005 roku, zawsze są wiodącym punktem każdego sezonu artystycznego Gliwickiej Orkiestry Kameralnej. W tym roku zespół zaprosił do udziału w koncercie, legendarnego koncertmistrza Berlińskich Filharmoników Daniela Stabrawę, który zaprezentuje się podczas koncertu jako solista, koncertmistrz oraz dyrygent.

Program koncertu w Gliwicach zawierać będzie dzieła Wolfganga Amadeusa Mozarta, Michała Spisaka, Felixa Mendelssohna oraz Mikołaja Góreckiego.

On the 27^th of November, 2022, a concert took place at the Silesian Philharmonic as part of the celebration of the Jubilee Year in Teatr Śląski, which consists of as many as 5 jubilees: 115 years of theatre, 100 years of the Polish stage, 25 years of the Council of Patrons of the Silesian Theatre, 5 years of the Foundation of the Silesian ‘Wyspiański’ Theater and 5 years of the Open the Door International Festival. The Silesian Chamber Orchestra conducted by Szymon Bywalec presented theater music by Henryk Mikołaj Górecki and Wojciech Kilar. The actors of the Silesian Theater also took part in the event.

The programme of the 80^th Musica Moderna festival of contemporary music includes symphonic, chamber and electroacoustic concerts, as well as film screenings, artistic installations and a meeting with prof. Zygmunt Krauze. From the 27^th of November to the 9^th of December, 2022, new and latest music will be played. The events will take place at the Academy of Music in Łódź and at the Ignorantka and Circus pod Zielonym Xiężycem club. The main partner is invariably the Polish Composers' Union. Admission is free!

Performers will be choirs and the Symphony Orchestra of the Academy of Music in Łódź led by Maciej Koczur, marimba Dalbergia Duo, clarinetist Julian Paprocki and sound artist Maciej Walczak. The 80^th edition of the Musica Moderna festival will open and close with a film project prepared under the artistic supervision of the composer Jacek Partyka.

Organiser of the Festivel is the composition department of the Łódź Academy of Music.
